No. Because the clinician is independently employed as a 1099 contractor, Parrot.MD does not provide benefits such as health insurance or retirement contributions. However, as a 1099 contractor, Parrot.MD provides an opportunity that allows clinicians to capture all of the tax benefits associated with engaging in temporary shift work.

Travel expenses are factored into an all-in rate established by the Facility. This allows you to know exactly what you’ll be making each shift, handle travel logistics to your preference, avoid tracking receipts of reimbursements, and maintain the 1099 tax benefits of writing off travel expenses.

Depending on the type of job you’re seeking and your responsiveness during the credentialing process, you can begin actively working Parrot.MD shifts in as little as 30-60 days.

There is no contractual obligation to a minimum shift requirement, but as a general role, Parrot.MD is right for you if you’re able to commit to an average of 2-3 shifts per month.

Absolutely! Based on the number of shifts each month you’d like to work, we are happy to match you with multiple facilities to meet your clinical goals.

To schedule shifts, you simply view open shifts at your credentialed facilities on the Parrot.MD mobile app and choose the ones that fit into your schedule.

Parrot.MD clinicians are paid directly by hospitals as a 1099 Independent Contractor. The rate shown in the app is the rate paid hourly to the clinician.

Parrot.MD works closely with facilities to set competitive rates that will be attractive to the job. You’ll know the rate before choosing any job, and while these rates are not negotiable once set, there will be times shifts are paid at a premium (i.e.: Holidays, or last minute coverage)
